Easy Discount - easy coupons help

Ok.. I'm at my wits end. I've installed both and get a fatal error when trying to run it.

 

The install.txt isn't very clear for easy discount and it says:

 

"(if used inside functions : do not forget to add $easy_discount to your global variable definitions)"

 

Where are the global variable definitions? Maybe I'm just too tired to figure it out, but I figure it's error out because I've not done this.

 

Any suggestions would be appreciated.
