glamourfish
I've installed the Paypal IPN which captures the order before leaving the paypal website to ensure that the orders download to the database even if the person doesn't return to the site after paying. This seems to be a general problem for oscommerce users....Maybe the next version of OSC should have this included???? Anyway - I'm having some trouble configuring the settings. Can anybody help/advise me please? I'm not sure about the following fields below...and yes I have read the instal instructions. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Location of Your Private Key Location of Your Public Certificate Location of PayPal's Public Certificate Your PayPal Public Certificate ID The working directory to create temporary files The location and filename of the OpenSSL "openssl" program file??? -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I have used stellarweb to generate public keys: http://www.stellarwebsolutions.com/en/arti...ryption_php.php (thank you) Now I'm just not sure what to do with them & what the heck is the OpenSSL??? Anybody able to help??? if at first you do succeed...try not to look surprised!
Guest
Hi, New to this myself, but I installed Paypal IPN the other day and left all of the above blank and the option above them (something to do with security/encription) as false. I think those fields need only be filled in if you want the orders sent encrypted. Might be wrong. The instructions do seem to lack any real info on this. All I can say for certain is that it is working fine without any of those settings in place, but whether it's secure is another matter.

Guest
Is IPN turned on on your paypal profile? It doesnt need to be, the IPN mod does everything itself. Is the email originating from paypal or oscom?
glamourfish
In Paypal Profile I have i set as: Instant Payment Notification (IPN) Off Seems as thought it's coming from Oscommerce....I think! Yes it's the email address i entered in my oscommerce store field. Does it possibly have anything to do with "Website Payment Preferences" in PAYPAL??? if at first you do succeed...try not to look surprised! satish
PayPal IPN Invalid Process This emil is generated when paypal_ipn.php page where YOu recd IPN cheks the details that were sent by Paypal after getting payment. Due to some differences between what got logged into the data base and what was recd in $_POST thru IPN it is considered as invalid.
