No product images uploading

Hi All

I have run into a problem.

 

When adding a product to the store everything workds fine until I go to upload the product image.

 

I use the 'browse' and select an image from my hard drive. When I go to 'preview' a message 'Warning no file uploaded' and a box with a cross appears.

 

I have checked to make sure that the images folder has 777 even tried a few other but with no success.

 

Looked through the forum for hours with no joy.

 

Tried uploading the image through ftp to see if can be picked up then but no.

 

Could someone please give me a simple to follow solution to this problem?
