Only Purchase A Product If Above A Certain Age

I was wondering whether it is possible to make it so that only people above a certain age (ie 18) can buy a certain product, and if they are not above that age, they get an error message saying that they cannot purchase the product

you could determine the age from the DOB field. And do this type of filtering during the checkout. You will also need some extra field on the admin end and dbase (products table) where you edit products so you can specify which product is for adults only.
