User Level for Different Pricing.

1) Is there any way to make OSCommerce not show any prices by default.

2) When a person registers .. is there a way to select what kind of a client he is in order to give him/her a special price (which leads me to my next item)

3) Can you specify multiple price levels for each item based on the "Client Classification"??

(the reason I ask.. is because I run both a retail and wholesale company In order to only have one OSCommerce running.. I'd like to be able to specify a separate price for Wholesale Clients and yet another for Retail.)

I imagine others have asked this question.. but I can't seem to find it under any search.

PS. THIS FORUM IS 100% BETTER THEN THE OTHER ONE YOU GUYS WERE USING!! VERY FAST !! THANK YOU!

Yes. Answered just a few posts ago - use the search facility.

Yes, there is a contribution that can handle this, look in the contribution section.

Same question as above isn't it ? If not then maybe use the same functionality.

and I liked recieving the e-mails...

What e-mails?

If by "e-mails" you are talking about e-mail notifications on a reply to your topic or post, you can set that preference in your user Profile, or just click the Notify me when a reply is posted found below the entry window.

Plus, you can set a watch on any topics you are interested in. This acts like a notify on reply, but without you having to post. Plus there are the news servers.

I originally took some time to come to grips with the new system. Missed the emails. Now I couldn't go back.

All thats missing is a home page that shows the last n (100 maybe) posts.

Trust me, I'm an Accountant.

No, on the old boards, you could set it so that every single post was automaticlly emailed to you, so you could just breeeze through them once a day and you could reply by email...

This board is OK, but is not half as good as the old one (IMHO)...

Burt,

As you are and old and respected poster to the oscommerce forums I realise your frustration. It's hard to adapt to a new methodology.

Can I ask, do you use the news server at all.

As for me, this the way I work.

I open the forum, look at the posts since my last visit. I also then check threads i've posted too, and finally I check unanswered posts to try and help those people.

As I said, one thing which would be useful is a page showing the last say 100 posts, what do you think.

Thats the way I do it as well. Given that I have enough time to go through it all.

If I recall correctly the original forums were extremely slow -- at least for me.
