HLYWDIANA Posted July 2, 2007 Share Posted July 2, 2007 OK, so I had my store programmed by someone and has been working well, to a point. I recieve an order. If the person clicks return to site/continue then the order is processed correctly and I get a detail description of what they ordered. If the customer does not click the button and closes their browser or whatever then all I recieve is a statement that I recieved money and how much but nothing about what was ordered. So then I have to contact the customer to find out what they ordered. Needless to say I was told I have to install PayPal IPN to get it to work right. My problem is that I am far from a programmer. I was able to find how to turn it on in PayPal but I have no clue what the URL address I would have to use to recieve that messages, let alone what coding I have to do to get those messages processed. I am completley confused. Can anyone help me or direct me in the way of a step by step process of what to do? Thanks. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
germ Posted July 2, 2007 Share Posted July 2, 2007 If you download/unzip the IPN mod, there is a "install_guide_READ_ME.html" file included that you can open with your Internet browser. It has the installation instructions in it. I haven't actually tried it, so I can't say how clear, concise, and accurate the supplied directions are... :blush: At least it will give you an idea of what you need to do. If I suggest you edit any file(s) make a backup first - I'm not perfect and neither are you.
