graysonhobby Posted June 30, 2007 Posted June 30, 2007 I have 2 sites, my live site then a back up. I do all my mods on my back up and once its tested, I move the files and then 'go live' Im installing a complex contribution and I narrowed down my problem to the general.php by trial and error. My old ISP actually displayed error messages, but with my new ISP, the screens are simply blank. Does anyone know how to view the errors otherwise, I really have no way to determine where to go hunting for problems. thanks
Silverado05 Posted June 30, 2007 Posted June 30, 2007 Well changing ISP's wouldn't have anything to do with it. Do you have debugging turned ON? Search the forum and contributions before posting. If that doesn't work, keep looking, then post. The forum is for seeking help and advice NOT for someone to do your work for you. Try to do something on your on, if you are going to run a shop then learn how it works.
graysonhobby Posted June 30, 2007 Author Posted June 30, 2007 Thanks for the response..Where would this debugger be found? I was actually able to track down a 'log' file in my admin section of my ISP account which appears to be displaying my error messages. Now to get this to be displayed on my oscommerce store webpage...This will speed up debugging my coding, but at least i do not have to hunt down the errors
Silverado05 Posted July 1, 2007 Posted July 1, 2007 You ISP would have nothing to do with any of this. Your ISP is your Internet Service Provider which supplies you connection to the internet. It would have nothing to do with showing errors for your store. Search the forum and contributions before posting. If that doesn't work, keep looking, then post. The forum is for seeking help and advice NOT for someone to do your work for you. Try to do something on your on, if you are going to run a shop then learn how it works.

graysonhobby Posted July 3, 2007 Author Posted July 3, 2007 I did not mean my ISP, I meant my hosting company. DOH
