Site Template - Os Commerce Header Contribution

Hi all,

 

I purchased a web template with OS Commerce integrated. I have set up the store on my hosting and everything appears to be working in order. The Os commerce version does not have a Header config option though.

 

I was trying to load (Jacks) Header Contribution but when I go to Database_install its says the header facility is set up already.

 

So I have gone through to the next steps. I don’t have php admin installer set up on my hosting so I was just going to amend the necessary php files as suggested in the catalog install test file. Will this work ?????

 

What is the best way to change these files (use a text editor like notepad) or would it be easier to set it up in DW. I keep getting lost in the code I’m crash teaching myself this stuff... I don’t even know if it will work if I get the edits write.

 

 

Main problems are

 

The error saying the header database is set up already

 

Editing the php index files - what’s the easiest way of doing this

 

This contribution is great and I would like to get it up and running.... I’m juts a bit lost
