Header Bar / Footer Bar Colour Problems....

Guest

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I decided to change the colours on my site from a lighter to a darker green.

I identified the new hex code, 99FF66, and set about replacing all instances of the old hex code, 33CC33, with the new.

Trouble is, though I have replaced all instnaces in stylesheet.css, it seems not to have taken to the whole site.. please have a look and let me know what you think i have done....

any other suggestions also welcome :)

Thanks,

Matt

edit: just a note, the 'pricing' infobox wont change with the rest as it is actually an image, so please ignore that one.

Hi Matt,

I'm pretty sure that the top nav bar color is defined within the catalog/includes/header.php file. Look for a table data cell that has a background color specified, similar to this... <td align="left" bgcolor="7ab232">

The bottom one is located at catalog/includes/footer.php

I'm not sure about the light green around your infoboxes?

Right, worked it out. to me HOURS to realise i was editting the wrong file, styleshet.css which was my backup instead of stylesheet.css

So was doing it right all along.

3 hours well spent...........

Live and learn...better to edit a backup, than to not have one at all:)
