pynchon Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 I'm trying to upload a large image file for better resolution but am being denied. Any idea how large I can go? large in terms of its dimensions ... or large in regard to its file size ? can you give an example ? John K
EZPA55 Posted June 27, 2007 Author Posted June 27, 2007 large in terms of its dimensions ... or large in regard to its file size ?can you give an example ? John K Well I have left them 300dpi. So they are about 2500 pixel width. I'm not sure if what I am trying to do will work but I gonna try it. The product are persian rugs so I need high resolution to show quality.

I think you may be verging on over-kill with the resolution and size .... convert them to 72 dpi ( monitors display at this resolution) and maintain a reasonable width (2500 pixels is possibly still a bit too high) ..... what kind of file size are the images ? pynchon Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 The file sizes are approximatly 2.5 mb hmmm ... pretty sizeable then resize an image to 72 dpi and see if it uploads .... I'd probably aim for a 500k upper limit or install a contribution that will allow the use of thumbnails (that you can keep to an acceptable 10 to 20k) as well as the large image. John K
