sychosyd_28
Hi all, I'm interested in implementing a system where, if a user clicks on a category or sub-category in the categories infobox, they could then see additional infoboxes containing other information relevant to that category. For instance, at www.musiciansfriend.com, when you click on "Departments > Guitars" in their side column, then on "Electric Guitars > Solid Body", you come to a box where you can narrow your search either by Brand or by Price Range. I'd like to be able to do something similar on my site. Say if my Categories box had the following: -Category A -Category B -Category C ...and someone clicked on Category B, I would like an additional infobox to then display all of the manufacturers for products in Category B and yet another infobox to somehow display a list of price ranges for products in Category B. And if someone clicks on a particular manufacturer, ideally the price range infobox would display price ranges only for products in Category B from that particular manufacturer. Is this at all remotely possible? I've looked into the "Categorical Manufacturers" contrib (http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,3909) which is a good start on limiting manufacturers by category. I've also looked into "More Category Boxes" (http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,3327) and "Shop by Price infobox" (http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,1276) but I don't know how to configure them to filter results by category -- they only seem to work on all products at once. Any help would be appreciated.
