Today i got an email from enom (where it is registered) saying my credit card details were incorrect and it hadn't been renewed. So i went to input them and saw they were charging me $29.99 to re-register it for a year. now me being a cheapskate thought i would be sneaky and transfer the domain to a cheaper company. I started the process with 123reg but it has dawned on me that when the domain gets transferred i don't think it will be pointing to my hosted website, if that makes sense. This site was set up for me by another person so i do not know the info that is needed to point a domain to a website. All the info i has is the name server details. I find this hard to explain cos i'm out of my depth here. I cannot access my website pages because i do not know where to look to find them apart from through entering the domain name, but now the domain name isn't registered any more i can't access them at all. I am worried that even if i do get the domain name back up and running it will just point to an empty space and my website will be lost forever. Is this true? or will all the neccessary jiggery pokery come back into place once the domain is back registered again?
