Shipping By Zones In Canada/usa? How?

I'm brand new to osCommerce and also not that huge of a Web guru so pardon me if my questions seem a little basic. I'm looking at using osCommerce to setup a website for my wife's business and am liking what I see so far. [i'm using freehostia.com, so they have the basic install scripts already setup and it seems to be generally working.] We are located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

 

My problem/challenge is in the area of shipping...

 

My wife sells "Nursing Pillows" which are bulky and hence carry a large shipping cost. We have so far been charging "amount1" to ship a pillow to Ontario residents and "amount2" to anywhere else (on our old site), however this have been meaning that we lose some money on products going to the States -- especially the West Coast.

 

What I would LIKE to do is this.... have a shipping calculation/table/zone based on weight or the order as well as location. I'm thinking something like this....

For one pillow/cover combination (e.g. up to 4 pounds)...

$12.50 to Ontario Residents

$20.00 to the rest of Canada

$25.00 to the USA - East Coast

$30.00 to the USA - Mid West

$35.00 to the USA - West Coast

$45.00 to the rest of the world

 

For stuff from 4 to 8 pounds something like...

$20.00 to Ontario Residents

$25.00 to the rest of Canada

$30.00 to the USA - East Coast

$35.00 to the USA - Mid West

$40.00 to the USA - West Coast

$65.00 to the rest of the world

 

(the rates look high (and I'm making them up right now), but that's because the stupid couriers like to charge us by cubic-weight (aka dimensional-weight) as the pillows are large and bulky ever after vacuum packing.

 

Any thoughts on how this could be setup?

map areas to that zones.

Setting different shipping modules for each zones.

 

This way You can contron on shipping for eah area.
