Unable To Determine The Page Link! When Sll Enabled

I have a problem that i can not get my head arround.

I have a our site hoasted on a linux server and have another linux server for the SSL.

I have uploaded the catalogue to both servers and configured the configure.php files for ssl but when i click an the checkout or account link on the non ssl page, that directs to the page on the ssl server, i get a page that has the main contents missing and at the bottom is the following error massage.

 

~Note~

I do not get this error if is not SSL enabled.

Unable to determine the page link!

 

I have looked this error up, and most of the time it relates to the search engine friendly link being enables, but mine is not so that is notthe issue.

Has anyone got any ideas why this is happening? I have tried playing with the config files but nothing works.

chek the code that is in html_output.php in includes/functions.

The version i have has been specially made to work with our stock control package, but has worked on many other installations.

I have only added a define mainpage contribution and another to stick the site is a fixed width container, but i dont see that causing this problem.

 

If it is not enabled for SSL, and the checkout process is over http it works fine.

The error only happens when i enable ssl.

 

There are no SEO contributions added to my knowledge but will ask the developer.

 

SEO is turned off in the admin as well.
