Guest Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 Hi, I'm reltively new to oscom though have spent the last month or so building a store. Getting near completion and i go browsing and find there's a problem with the catalogue. Getting through categories is fine, but when it comes to the items (which are acknowledged in brackets by the category as being there) this happens: http://www.livefoodsforgood.co.uk/index.php/cPath/21_36 anyone know why? Thanks, Matt

Jack_mcs Posted June 27, 2007 Posted June 27, 2007 It rewrites the url's. In your shop now, you might click on a product have the link display as http://www.somesite.com/product_info.php?p...4346ea40979c34f. With Ultimate SEO, it would be more like http://www.somesite.com/some-product-p-25.html. The url's are better for the search engines as well as your customers. rickvv Posted August 1, 2007 Posted August 1, 2007 Where should i look if I turn off that search engine switch...and the error still appears (and there are no products displaying in categories?Help :\ I toggled that SearchEngine switch again, and toggled the TellA-Friend. But then realized my host had upgraded their cPanel, and along with it, probably PHP, and the also had put some kind of FastCGI for PHP thingie in there. I had turned that FastCGI for PHP "on" last week, and never went back to check out the site. As soon as I turned of the FastCGI for PHP ... it was THEN that all the pages were working again <whew>...The only thing not working now, is email being sent from the osCommerce. neither tell-a-friend, nor email from the admon>"send email" section. And I have a big email to blast out this afternoon. I'll keep looking. r
