How Add Text In Checkout_success Depending Of The Payment Method Chosen ?

I´d like to add some text in the checkout_success if the customer choose C.O.D payment method in checkout_payment.

I got no problem to pass the variable to checkout_confirmation, but it´s impossible to me to send till the last page.
