SWSchwartz Posted June 26, 2007 Posted June 26, 2007 I have been using the built in os commerce newsletter function to send newsletters to my customer list which is a little over 3500 email addresses. The last 2 news letters that I have sent I used Icontact http://www.icontact.com/a.pl/141762 I have found it simple to use but there is also manages your list for you so you dont have to mess with deleting people that want to opt out. BTW.... this makes it easy to conform the the canned spam act. It also has some html templates that at least give you a starting point from which to build your own newsletter. I think that this is important and it makes it easier to have consistent branding between your store and the newsletters. The third feature I have found very nice is the statistics that it gives you like bounce backs, open rate and click though rate. These are all great and help to give you indicators as to how well people are receiving your newsletters. If you make the content interesting they will look forward to your newsletters. PUT TIME AND THOUGHT INTO THEM and it will pay off. Nobody wants a list of links to products.
