Categories Order

I am trying to change the order of Categories i don't want it displayed ascending or descending order. I just want to display the categories in no particular order.

 

 

For example

Shirts,

Hats,

Tank-tops

Shoes

Candles

[Guest]

Categories are displayed in a sort order I believe, at least mine are. In admin, go to Catalog, the first screen will open as Categories/Products. Click any of the descriptions, click the edit button on the right. It will show you the line item's name, show the image and image path/name, allow you to update the image and the sort order which you can change from here. It's been so long since I set mine up, but I don't think that was an added contribution. Try that and put your items in whatever numerical order you want. Keep in mind it will always be in that order until you assign different numerical values. If you do assign the same number value to more than one item, the cart will display those items alphabetically against each other.
