Message box at the end

Thanks a lot for this great job with the new checkout process. I have only one question:

 

Why is the message box located in checkout_success - when the user reaches this site it means that the order process is already finished. Why not putting the message box in checkout_confirmation.

 

I am asking this because i want my customers to have the possibilty to make messages belonging direct to the order.

 

Could anyone help me with putting the message box in the checkout_confirmation site? I am not so good in php ....
