A Few Template Questions

Hiya guys,

I am a newbie to osCommerce abd so far I am really liking it. Obviously I will want to be changing the template but I have a few questions before doing so.

1. I have purchased a template that I'd like to use. Along with all of the necessary php files I received psd files which show the full template with product graphics. When the template files are uploaded to the server, can I add products and their images via the admin panel or do I have to be editing the product photos within photoshop itself?

2. The template files also came with an osCommerce install package. Does this mean that I have to perform a new install of my osCommerce software everytime I add a new template? Can I just upload the necessary template files?

3. I have already begun doing some minor customizations of my osCommerce (ie. adding shipping rates/tax classes). If I install the new template using the files that were purchased, will this reset my current settings back to package default?

I sincerely appreciate any help you may be able to provide.

Thanks!!

This two are not related. Yes, you can add product and image via admin panel. If you like to edit the photo, do so in Photoshop if you must.

No, simply upload the files.

This customiztion is not altering the code.

And finally, I don't know why people buy ready-made template. It's difficult to use, important php code have been remove. And definitely i'm not selling the same product made available in the package.
