bruggeman Posted June 23, 2007 Posted June 23, 2007 Hello and greetings. My name is Jason, and I have just recently aquired some webspace with Ipowerweb. In this package they include OScommerce and I have installed it I believe. This is my first time dealing with OScommerce so I am looking for alittle help setting everything up. I like to take screenies along the way so that people dont get to confused. Ok so on with it already, lol. I installed the application to a subdirectory of the main site The Baer Edge Company, and this is the place where I installed everything. Store. Now when I access "vdeck" or my administrative panel and go back to the application I can see this. Not really sure what to do after that. I have clicked "Admin Interface" and seen this: Not really sure what to do next. Any help would be greatly appreciated and I thank you in advance for it.
nykik Posted June 23, 2007 Posted June 23, 2007 Exactly what do you want to do next? Enter store information, products, set up payments?
bruggeman Posted June 23, 2007 Author Posted June 23, 2007 Exactly what do you want to do next? Enter store information, products, set up payments? To be quite honest with you, I dont know where to start. My thought would be to get all the store information on there. I selected the configuration link and started to add in the stores information. So I need to look up some and research on the Administration Tool so I can get that info straight and ready to go. Is there anyway to see the store as I work on it? When I go to Store there is nothing there.
nykik Posted June 23, 2007 Posted June 23, 2007 When I started, I entered my store information as well. I recently added my log to remove the osc logo in my tools. Go to File Manager to upload your logo. For me it was easier to do this through my hosting company and not osc. I simply went to File Manager/web/osc. Uploaded my image and replaced that image in the header.php files To answer your last question, you will not see a work in progress while making changes. You have to save as yougo and click on catalog to see what you've done. To be quite honest with you, I dont know where to start. My thought would be to get all the store information on there. zhexiang Posted June 24, 2007 Posted June 24, 2007 Why you didn't install your osc here http://www.thebaeredge.com/products.html ? You left that page blank? When you upload osc, you shouldn't include catalog folder as well, just upload what's inside it will do. After two replies, i don't see you make any changes. Still not sure what to do?
