Currency Update Error

Hi All,

 

From a view days I get an error when I try to update currencies in my admin. I searched the internet to find a helpful topic for my issue, but most of them are in German :'(

The error is:

Warning Warning: The primary exchange rate server (oanda) failed for US Dollar (USD) - trying the secondary exchange rate server.

Error Error: The exchange rate for US Dollar (USD) was not updated via xe. Is it a valid currency code?

Warning Warning: The primary exchange rate server (oanda) failed for Euro (EUR) - trying the secondary exchange rate server.

Error Error: The exchange rate for Euro (EUR) was not updated via xe. Is it a valid currency code?

Warning Warning: The primary exchange rate server (oanda) failed for Pond (GBP) - trying the secondary exchange rate server.

Error Error: The exchange rate for Pond (GBP) was not updated via xe. Is it a valid currency code?

 

It is very strange, because if I look into admin/includes/functions/localization.php, the output of the next codes are

 

$page = file('http://www.oanda.com/convert/fxdaily?value=1&redirected=1&exch......

$page = file('http://www.xe.net/ucc/convert.cgi?Amount=1&From...

 

working good, whe I past the output into the url of my browser.

for example:

http://www.xe.com/ucc/convert.cgi?Amount=1...=EUR&To=GBP

 

Des anyone have any suggestions?

I am assuming this is not a stock install osCommerce. It sounds like you have a contribution connecting to an exchange server to receive the exchange rates. I think you need to post this on that contributions page.
