Adding Text To A Product Page (not Just The Product)

I am new to this game, but trying very hard. I want to get good. I would like to add a product page description (not an index page description or an individual product description but a description on the product page - not the index page (which I don't use, my links from the site go directly to the product page) and not the individual product description (they need the description on the product choice page). Do I have any options?

choose order, then choose any image. It takes you to the product page for that group of pictures only (not index and not all pictures, just the ones in that product group). I need a quality print statement on that page (not the individual order page or the unused index). Thanks if you can...

Fairly involved but it will put whatever text you want at the top of the categories pages. admin controlled also.

Very simple and does not conflict with header tags or other mods I have installed.
