Yet Another Database Question

Hi all

 

I am starting a simple online shoes business using OSC.

 

My problem is for each shoe, I have different colors and sizes. How should I create product?

 

Do I need to create product for each color and size ? If yes, then I will have many products in my database. Another idea is to display just one shoe but allow customers to select from the dropdown list for their desire color. The image should reflect the image for the color selected.

 

Another problem is when customer purchased a shoe with specific color and size, how can I update the inventory?
