Alan G Posted June 23, 2007 Posted June 23, 2007 I am totally new to OSC. I am a photographer and I have a working non-OSC site at SptoPhoto. My thing is I want to keep my site mostly the way it is with frames and all, but I need a proper shopping cart. Also, I normally upload thousands of pictures at a go. Far too many to go through the admin to add them as individual products. It wouldn't do to have a couple of products like 4x6 and 8x10 then use the specific image as a property as I want someone to simply view a pic then click an add to cart button. My question; can I access the mysql file and enter all the relevant product info directly without going through the admin panel?

It allows you to manage your product info, name, description, image path, etc. via a tab delimited text file. You then "bulk" upload this into your admin. If you had all the image paths in it, you could upload your photos via FTP and they would show. You could even add "attributes" (4x6, 8x10) in this spreadsheet. Search the contribs area for "easy populate" to learn more. We see our customers as invited guests to a party, and we are the hosts.
