Guest Posted November 7, 2002 Posted November 7, 2002 Maybe im missing something  ... but in order to delete an item from an order would i have to go and hack using phpMyAdmin? or is there some easier way :?: I have latest CVS version.
CC Posted November 7, 2002 Posted November 7, 2002 Nope I have wondered this... Definately something that should be addressed in the next version me thinks. There are some small hacks out there, but I cant remember what it is called. Soz. If anyone has any good ideas give us a shout on forums... CC.
CC Posted November 7, 2002 Posted November 7, 2002 In fact I have found it, in fact I have it installed!! Haha It is called something like update order hack. It works quite well actually... Apart from it has the UPS shipping mod built in and I sont ude it. So that doesnt help cos you cant turn it of. But I am sure there is a way to get rid. I have never spent time on it, but i might have a look now. CC.
Guest Posted November 7, 2002 Posted November 7, 2002 The other annoying thing i found was that its not possible to search the contributions!! or is it?!?
Guest Posted November 18, 2002 Posted November 18, 2002 hmm it seems crazy that there is no clean solution out there? so what does everyone do when a customer orders something and it isn't available? one needs a way to delete items from invoice.... :?:
CC Posted November 18, 2002 Posted November 18, 2002 You use the hack that I mentioned above! And I quote: It is called something like update order hack. It works quite well actually... Go and get it. It works very well actually. CC.
Guest Posted November 18, 2002 Posted November 18, 2002 yeah I did find it.. its called "Order Update Tool" however I got discouraged by the shipping thing: You should be able to update each product on the order, add products to the order, delete products from the order, and change the shipping to either "Store Pickup" or "UPS Ground" - totals are re-calculated and the order is updated. I guess a little hacking is called for :? I still cant believe this sort of functionality isn't included in oscommerce by default
ebuy Posted November 18, 2002 Posted November 18, 2002 Could you tell me how to get it? I'll try it and decide to modify it or built a new one. Thanks!
zzfritz Posted November 18, 2002 Posted November 18, 2002 The contribution is located here: http://www.oscommerce.com/downloads.php/co...ions,432/type,5 But ... it is a free standing script, not integrated into osC's program architecture and does not use the standard tep_ function calls. It makes its own mysql queries, and has very specific code for getting a UPS rate quote for ground shipping or choosing 'store pickup'. With all due respect to its author and his intentions, this contribution is not really ready for prime time.
ebuy Posted November 19, 2002 Posted November 19, 2002 Thanks! I got it. It cannot be used in Nov. 2.2 version. I'll modify it when I have time at beginning of Dec.
