Some New Install Questions

okay a little new here fellas. anyways, i installed xampp and oscommerce. i edited everything to my liking and i am about to put in on a real webhost. how would i go about to do this? do i just ftp the files over and everything works? i have made a backup of the data. its a sql file. the hosting company will be hostmonster.

Yeah, register with them and get a hosting storage. Better to get linux package. It's where php & mysql is installed. And it's also becuase osc use php mysql to run. Once your hosting is configured bby them, they'll tell you what you need to know.

 

Then open a browser, type ftp://yourname.com and go to public_html folder to upload your osc work.
