I was wondering if you had something in your PayPal IPN contribution that cleaned up all of the PayPal Processing orders after a certain amount of time.

If so, here's what I was thinking. It would be nice to auto send all of those people emails making sure that they didn't have any questions or experience any errors.

I've been doing this manually for some time now, and I seem to get a few orders that I might have otherwise lost.

NOTE: As of Oct 2006, I'm not as active in this forum as I used to be, but I still work with osC quite a bit.

If you have a question about any of my posts here, your best bet is to contact me though either Email or PM in my profile, and I'll be happy to help.

Hi Chris

I though about doing something like this some time ago because somebody (maybe you?) asked for this functionality.

Anyway I dont know if that functionality should be part of the module.

Maybe we can make it as a separate contrib.

In case we integrate it into the PayPal IPN Payment Module, I can add a new option in the Admin->PayPal_IPN box, called "left orders" from where you can see all "paypal_processing" orders.

Then from that admin you should be able to send a "what happened?" message to the customer or finally delete the order.

I can also make an automatic "send what happened message to all paypal_processing orders", but sometimes customers makes multiple tries to buy products, and so you will have multiple orders trying to buy the same time, and so the customer will receive many emails... that will bothher him.

Best regards
