Getting ready to go live: http://dev.petsready.com

Did the skin from scratch.

Some of the text layout still needs work, especially the order processing part;

Product images are still missing; a few default graphics have to go, too.

Feel free to poke around as well as placing an order (use 4111111111111111 CC#)

Comments? Suggestions? Highly appreciated!

P.S. Admins... Powered by osCommerce is there now.. guess its why you deleted my previous post

I like how your images merge into the background. For the infoboxes on the left, there is an out of place one pixel line spanning the entire header of each infobox. Also, the color does not match the rest of the site. Other then that, I would change the link color from standard blue to dark green to match the rest of your site.

Nice site. I would probably remove the sharpness from the pets in the header a by adding a light blur effect in photoshop to make them not so powerful against the background (just blur the edges a little with the merge brush set to about 10%)

I agree that the infoboxes need a bit of customising to bring in line with the colour of the rest of the shop, but overall its a nice job.

Ugh.. thnx for pointing out that nasty horizontal line bug.. seems to be a problem in IE only.

Modified the boxes, got rid of that blue shade and switched to the grey. Changed the links, too. Not sure I reeeeely like them green but looks ok on most of the page. The issue comes up once you browse to the actual product; i have several popup boxes describing the items (tooltips?) .. having [?] in green makes it hard to see. Maybe i'll end up using a separate class just for those links

Any other suggestions?

Cheers,

George

Never actually used linux apart from server software. Only really mentioned photoshop as it seems to be the standard nowadays and I really have no idea about linux software except the penguin is kinda cool :)

Hello,

I like the curved boxed style, I would get rid of the right corner arrows on your boxes as the break up the lines and look a little out of place.

Definitely blur the edges of the dogs in upper image. They are too sharp. I do not know anything about the Linux programs, so I cannot provide much assistance on how (I am a photoshop person).

I would change the rollover color on the top menu from orange to one of the grays used in the site. It would tie the header area in with the content area a little more.

Your buttons appear to be a seafoam green hue; whereas the other greens used are more of a forest green. But that might just be my monitor. I would change the text color on these from blue to gray, again because there is not blue anywhere else in the site.

All in all I think it is well done.

Softened the top image, changed the buttons, fixed the arrows. Thought about changing the title but I only have two options - kits for cats and kits for dogs... guess kits for cats and dogs will do :). Despite the fact that I dont really believe in SEO and think that targeted advertisement is the way to go, i mean you have to spend money to make money, I will do some work on the SEO side - add H1 tags, fine-tune auto-generated meta-description and meta-keywords, alt tags and all that.

As for the top menu - the orange color is matching the fur on the dog/cat and the big dog on the main page

Anyone noticed the pop-ups (tool tips) on some of the products? is [?] link sending the right message? I'm surprised noone commented on it and guessing it may not be as straight forward as I hoped.

Thx for ya'lls help

I love it!! Especially the little footprints in the menu :)

Just a small thing, I am using firefox and when I clicked the Testimonials the main table extends further than the header so the table sticks out on both sides.
