a great place for frogs Posted June 19, 2007 Posted June 19, 2007 I finally managed to install oscommerce and now both catalog and admin (and every other .php file) just shows up a blank screen. Had to go back to php4 to get this far but it's in and other apps are running with it. The install went fine, database has stuff in it.

Try viewing the source code for a page and see what is listed Hand made jewellery and tiaras on our website Please bear with me. Im an osC noobie!
ingres2 Posted June 20, 2007 Posted June 20, 2007 This a fairly common error which may arise if you accidently upload a main script i.e.: /catalog/includes/mainexample.php to: /catalog/includes/languages/english/mainexample.php Cheers
a great place for frogs Posted June 20, 2007 Author Posted June 20, 2007 Thanks folks I'm not sure what the problem was but I changed the register_long_arrays to on (thanks Vger) and managed to get the thing running with php5 and now it all works fine.
