Process Of Receiving Orders? Need Info.

when a customer places an order do I receive an e-mail? and if so what does it state on the e-mail usually? are there any documents on the process ?

Yes, an email is sent to the store owner, as defined in Admin Console>configuration>my store. The email gives you most of the order information including customer, item, dollar amount, etc. To see it exactly, run a test sale through your store.

thanks and is there a place to go to check all previous orders... is that the order part of the admin panel? is there a way to make that very user friendly? any contributions etc.

You can easily check customer orders from the admin console>customers>orders. Once you see where things are and the logic behind it, it is fairly user friendly.
