Lost Protx Orders

Our shop has been running for a while now using PROTX as our PSP. Sometimes we receive payment notification in VSP Admin but don't see an order logged by osCommerce. We wondered if this could be caused by customers closing their browser before the osCommerce order confirmation screen has been re-displayed. When we ask customers who's orders have encountered this issue they say that the process completed sucessfully. Does anyone have any suggestions??
