krsaborio
Hello. I'm in the process of doing a new osCommerce installation via SiteGround. The owner of the Web site that will use osCommerce wants to do the following: • online payment processing to link up with Verisign, Paypal, Telecheck etc • export financial data to quick books complete with backend management console • multiple emails upon each order • auto generating of invoice • tracking of keywords, search engine data for all orders • ability to add upsells. Once a user decides the buy a product, the sales is transacted and then the user is offered upsells • multi payments such as 4 payments of $50.00 as opposed to 200.00 Will the default installation of osCommerce permit to do all of the above? Or, will I be forced to modifiy the installation to accomplish the owner's requirements. Thank you in advance for any input to this matter. Cheers! krsaborio
Thanks for a prompt reply. The owner of the Web site wants to have: • online payment processing to link up with Verisign, Paypal, Telecheck etc • export financial data to quick books complete with backend management console • multiple emails upon each order • auto generating of invoice • tracking of keywords, search engine data for all orders • ability to add upsells. Once a user decides the buy a product, the sales is transacted and then the user is offered upsells • multi payments such as 4 payments of $50.00 as opposed to 200.00 To accomplish the above, will I need to make heavy changes to core PHP? Are some of the above items obtainable through the default installation? I like to avoid changing PHP core files because future upgrades to the latest osCommerce version become troublesome. Cheers!
