Add Attributes To Categories.php Contribution

Guest

Recommended Posts

When adding a new product with the OsC admin, this contribution puts all of your attribute options on the same page as the product name, price, etc.

I really like the way it's designed. All the attributes have individual check boxes. You do have to make the attributes ahead of time, in the default admin attributes page.

But when I try to make a test item, the attributes don't show up in the previw page or the actual store.

The designer is "Benjamin," but he didn't include his email address.

Has anybody else tried it, or know of a similar contrib?

Thanks, Matt

Now it works!

I looked at the directions again and realized there are five bits of code that need to be added to admin/categories.php.

I had only added one, not realizing there were more.

The install notes don't go through line by line like most contribs do. It just says to add the code found in the supplied file.

If I have some spare time, I'll write a full set of directions.

Note, the attributes still don't display in the admin preview page, but they do get added to the actual product page in the store.

This is a time-saving contrib. I recommend it!

I guess you can't put a price with each attribute. If you have different prices for each attribute, you should probably use New Attributes Manager. With it, you make your new products like you normally would in admin, then you add multiple attributes with prices all at the same time, with one screen.
