I'm trying to install oscommerce 2.2 on a centos 4.5 with php 4.9

After the second screen when it say database import nothing appen and it's not possible to continue.

I've tried also to create the db and configure it by hand but when I connect to the site I get just an empty page.

could some one help me please ?

Install gets stuck on page 2

---------------------------

The most common cause for installation getting stuck in step 2

is that most recent PHP installations have register_long_arrays = OFF

This needs to be turned to ON in the php.ini file (you will need to

stop and restart your server to get this change to take effect.)

I've not this options in php.ini, I've forced this setting and restarted apache.

Now I can reach the step=7 but In this page there is only write :

============

New Installation

osCommerce Configuration

============

the configure.php are not set, (fields value are empty). I've also check file permission on config.php and set to 706.

What could be still wrong ?

Dont set to 706. Set to 777 for the install and 705 after the install, not 706.
