Payment Modules Disappear Randomly

I searched and was not able to find anything on this - if it is out there please give me a link.

 

I have 3 payment modules installed:

- PayPal Express Checkout

- PayPal Website Payments Pro

- Purchase Order Mod

 

The two PayPal modules came straight from PayPal's site.

 

Payment methods are all set to no zones.

 

Randomly when you go to checkout and get to the Payment page it will say:

"This is currently the only payment method available..."

and that is all it will display in the Payment Method box, no methods.

 

Customers are clicking continue and submitting orders without any payment information of any kind.

When I go to the screen and it displays this, I hit refresh and the methods are there.

 

Has anyone had this problem before?? Any help in fixing this would be greatly appreciated.

Some more hopefully helpful information.

 

The payment page behaves and displays as if you do not have any payment modules enabled in the admin.

 

Is it possible that some bit of code might take this point of view (so to speak) if the database/server took too long to respond or something of the like?

 

I am really at a loss on this one, anyone shed some light on this?

 

And no this is not just a bump, just wanted to post more information in the hopes it is helpful. :)
