Editing Index.php

Having major problems editing this file, /catalog/includes/languages/english/index.php i download the file edit it on my pc then upload it again via FTP its as if the file was never edited still appears as the default installed version on the template, ive now moved the index.php file out of the directory and it still loads up as the default template, now it clearly states its the file i need to edit.....

 

what am i doing wrong?

Try emptying your temp folder! And your browser cache!

Or, you can hold down the <Ctrl> key while you hit the "Refresh" (In IE).

 

This forces IE to refetch the page from the website.

 

I'm not sure if this works the same with other browsers (Netscape, Firefox, Opera, etc.)

If I suggest you edit any file(s) make a backup first - I'm not perfect and neither are you.
