Admin Section Doesn't Ask For Password?!

how do I make it ask for a username and password? N00b here, so please go step by step. Thanks.

There are three ways 1)Thru cPanel password protect directory icon. 2)create .htaccess and .htpasswd file and place them thru FTP in admin folder and htpasswd at specified location. 3)Admin access control contribution.
