dleifm
Hi there folks, This is my first attempt at working with OSCommerce. I'm primarily a front-end guy but I'm starting to get my feet went with some back-end stuff. At this stage, I know just enough PHP to be dangerous ;) I've installed OSCommerce and I was a bit overwhelmed by the sheer volume of options that were present in the sample store. I only need a very small number of features for the project I'm working on. So I started going through and removing stuff that I didn't need. Unfortunately, I think that I might have removed one feature too many. I'm trying to set up the top-level page of the catalog (www.petitepassengers.com/catalog/) so that the products are sorted by Category. (Disclaimer: site has not yet been tested in IE.) I'd like the order of the Categories to correspond with the links in the top-nav menu (Bedding, Strollers, etc.) The products currently show up as "New Products For June." I don't really have any need for the "New Products..." option. My client would like the top-level catalog page to always remain the same. (The goal is to have the links in the top nav-menu to link to the corresponding categories on that top-level page of the catalog.) So... what do you folks think? Is there an easy way to accomplish this? - Leif.
dleifm
I should also add... I'm only part-way through the skinning of OSCommerce on that site. So please don't be alarmed if things look a bit wonky. :)
