Search Engines do not like ? and such in the address. The Search Engine Friendly URL uses _ and / but, this does not work right for everyone.

Many cannot use this feature at this time. You will have to test this to see if it works properly through out the shop for you.

What does that mean?

John

Is it safe to use by now? I'd like google to pick up more than just the front page of my site.

The default 'Search Engine Safe URL's' has not been altered since MS2 came out. They will either work on your server or they will not. Most likely they won't.

But don't think that you have to have SEF URLs to have google index more than the front page of your site. That simply isn't true, and hasn't been for years now.

I'm having problems with google finding my oscommerce pages.

My current page http://www.operationparts.com has had new products indexed in google days after they were added but nothing on my oscommerce page shows up, it has been there for a couple of months: http://www.operationparts.com/oscommerce2/index.php

I'm wondering why the oscommerce content does not get indexed, one thing that I just thought of is that there are no links from my current page to the oscommerce pages. I just figured that anything in sub directories would be found.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
