Guest Posted November 4, 2002 Posted November 4, 2002 Hi, I am at this page during checkout: http://www.wellsleyarts.com/shop/catalog/c...ut_shipping.php I have 2 products in the basket and when I click the "continue" button the page just stays there. This is a new install today. Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong? Melinda

Guest Posted November 5, 2002 Posted November 5, 2002 The payment option was set to cash and it didn't show up. When I set the shipping schedule to zero then I could go ahead. Now, I have cash, check/money order, cc setup and the only 2 that show up are check/money order and cc. What about the cash listing?
Ajeh Posted November 5, 2002 Posted November 5, 2002 I am assuming this is a brand new install from a current snapshot? There were a few changes since Nov 1st. Also, I am assuming that the MySQL is a brand new install as well? There are some changes in the configuration files for each of the shipping and payment options. If this is an old copy, make sure to check that you do not have old data from old shipping and payment modules and make sure that you have turned these on and off if you do, to reset the values properly and updated the info as needed.
Guest Posted November 5, 2002 Posted November 5, 2002 If I turn on cash and check/moneyorder then the cash option doesn't show up when checking out...isn't this suppose to show up so customer can choose cash or check/moneyorder? The same thing happens if I have cash, check/moneyorder, and cc enabled in admin...cash option never shows up during checkout.

Ajeh Posted November 5, 2002 Posted November 5, 2002 Found the error, or is it a feature? :shock: I did a fresh install with today's snapshot on a new MySQL file. Cash on Delivery is setup to work with a Zone. If the Zone is not on, it does not appear. I did not get into all the ins and outs of this, but that is why it is not showing for you.

Ajeh Posted November 5, 2002 Posted November 5, 2002 As I say, I did not do a lot with this. But check the zone for the Cash payment module and what happens when you login as a customer from that zone and as a customer outside that zone.

Ajeh Posted November 5, 2002 Posted November 5, 2002 I stuck Ohio in mine, and made a Zone for Ohio. I will try to play with this more. Do you need Cash on delivery for anywhere? Or just for a Zone?

Ajeh Posted November 5, 2002 Posted November 5, 2002 Turn off COD ... Edit the configuration table and sort by key ... make sure you do not have anything for: MODULE_PAYMENT_COD_STATUS --or-- MODULE_PAYMENT_COD_ZONE If you do then delete them. Turn on COD ... do not set a zone ... see if it works.
