Guest Posted June 7, 2007 Posted June 7, 2007 We have a customer looking to build a site to sell furniture. The problem is that they would like their customers to select several versions of an item on each detail page. For instance, the customer finds a table they like and should on that page be able to order 2 black, 1 red and 4 light brown ones. Each of these colors has their own ID, as does each product. Is there a mod for osCommerce that can handle this? We are trying to come up with a quote and depending on whether we can use osCommerce with mod(s) or having to custom-write this, the quote will obviously be quite different. Thanks in advance. Quote
oschellas Posted June 7, 2007 Posted June 7, 2007 Well, you have to search a little in the contributions regarding attributes, most probably you'll find something that fits your needs. If not, it would not be very difficult to tailor attributes (contributions) to your needs, anyway it would be much faster then re-creating a complete new shop. Quote
Guest Posted June 7, 2007 Posted June 7, 2007 Thanks. I did have a look through the contributions (Features), but could not find anything that seemed right. As for making modifications easily, I don't know; I've never coded osCommerce (only installed it once), so really have no idea where to start. Custom would probably still be easier for me as I would not need most of the functionality anyway (no shipping and payment functionality is required for instance). Quote
