It looks like the same problem to me, I modified new product.php file, but on the top of the pic you can see there is a big space wasted, it is the place to show header,whats new here and a icon table_background_default.gif, I removed them all but the the space is still occupied, is that the same problem?? can sb offer some solutions??

If it is inside a box - then you need to check file includes/classes/boxes.php look there for celpedding or tep_draw_separator. Save a copy of that file and play with it , but do not leave empty quotes , otherwise it gives empty <tr></tr> in a source .
