gaus Posted June 6, 2007 Posted June 6, 2007 Hello, I have built a site using OSC. I have used, extensively, the STS contribution to modify the look of the site. In addition, the site is heavily modified with many contributions, too numerous to list. I would, however, like to extend a general thank you to all those that have helped, whether they know it or not, and especially to those developers and supporters of OSC, STS and the HeaderTags contrib. Please take a moment visit my live site, www.choicepetproducts.com. Any criticisms or comments anyone has to offer would be great. Thank you, gaus
Andrew Yuen Posted June 8, 2007 Posted June 8, 2007 After visiting your store, I was impressed by the simplicity in the header but when I scrolled down to the footer it was a different story. I believe those big buttons are unprofessional looking and that your footer. Also, the result page link colors should be changed to green to match the color scheme of your site. I also noticed that the rollover is yellow for the links in the header, and orange for the links in the footer. I would change the rollover link color in the footer to yellow. Other then that I really like your landing page and how your overlaid the pet news and product listing on top of the picture. Andrew Yuen osCommerce, Community Team
radders Posted June 8, 2007 Posted June 8, 2007 I like the favicon. Personally I would suggest simplifying your user interface, maybe removing some non-essential contributions as I felt a bit hemmed in. The category pages lack coherence with most of the content below the fold and an enormous image at the top. Maybe this could be smaller as could the buttons at the bottom of the page. From the colours would I be right in thinking this is a pet supermarket or wholesale outlet?
gaus Posted June 8, 2007 Author Posted June 8, 2007 Hello, Thanks for the response. I've made a few small changes to the index page as suggested, tried to tone down the clunkiness of the bottom four buttons, but my hands are tied as far as any real change of the footer as the owner really likes it. Thanks again, gaus
