Index Product Listing

Ok I hope someone can help me with this. I will try to explain it as simple as possible.

here is my shop http://shop.multe-media.com

On the main index page you will see 2 columns and 2 rows of products.

When you click on a category that has a sub category in it, it still shows 2 columns and 2 rows of products.

Now click on the last sub category of the tree and it will show 3 columns and 3 rows of products.

 

Now my question is, how can I get my sub category view that displays both products and sub categories to show 3 columns and 3 rows of products instead of 2 and 2? Keep in mind I want to keep the 2 and 2 on my main page though. I will post any files that I may need to change on here just let me know which ones. (index.php or new_products.php)
