Product Listing Slow!

Hello to all of you!

I need to solve a big problem i have with products listing. I have modified my store a lot, but product listing modul is quite same. I have problem, becouse it lists my products very very slow!I also see, that my computer usage when u want to list products ( the lowest category level .. ) is almost 100% (it freezes me other aplications until it lists down products..). I supouse it is something wrong in file product_listing.php ( i didn t modified it , i supouse it is problem with oscomerce and its listing??). I have about 2500 products in database but i heard that this quantity isnt problem...

Or can it be problems with database ? I use phpmyadmin ver.5.0.27-community-nt, protocol version 10 ..

I have to give my store online in couple of days so i urgently need help, please... you can try it here ( site is in slovenian language ):http://164.8.223.156/comshop/catalog/

Then try to go to the lowest level of categories, and u will see how slow it works...

I have also moved entire store to server machine, and it also works very very slow ( server has same version of phpmyadmin)...

I would be very happy of any help...

I have the same problem Catalog is so slow. But If I click on the red X to stop loading the page appears just fine. This only happens with Internet Explorer 7. If I use Firefox it works just fine. How could we fix this?

Your images are big (60K), use an on the fly thumbnailing contribution, this will save you a lot of loading time while viewing a product listing.

It is not that. I tried to turn of images not to show them, but loading time is the same ... something must be with database or connection with it or maybe sql's in product_listing.php ... i have no idea..

no, its because you're pulling images from external sites like

images.comtron.si/78/0005/0004/imgArticle_52631.jpg

just one external image can totally ruin the page load times. Why are you using external images?
