Guest
Hi.... From frustrated in Oscart land.... Ready to chuck it in.. :'( No emails.. they are sent but never received. When I first installed the cart two weeks ago I did get an order email and a friend was able to sign up and receive emails. This was on a fresh install. Then all of a sudden nothing.. no emails... ( I did keep a copy f the header for the email that did work) I figured I changed something and then went back to square one. Reinstalled the os cart and have had the same trouble ever since. Read all the forums and tried most of the fixes What I Have Done: Email is configured for a Linux server sendmail and LF also send mail is true. Installed PHbb2 and I do receive mail from the server Used the test_email program and I do not receive any emails from either end. reset the configure mail to different addys set up a hotmail account as suggested and still no email What I want to do is try the email fix SMPT class fix but I am not sure what to put in as values. I know html and can stumble about php files.. but these server issues and database deals are really driving me crazy... Well Ok.. I admit it.. I already am crazy.. But it would still be nice to have the cart up and running. I really like the ease of use of the cart Please help... I really need some input here. Guest
my email arent working either?please pm me if you find the problem . my situation is that i did recive one email then non? not sure what i did? Pretty much what happened to me. One email and then nothing. The phpbb2 also doesn't send out emails as well. (the default is not to send from the server.. didn't know that till I went to look at it. Then tried email.. no posts came through. I have tried everything suggested.. so.. I uploaded a zen cart (oops... dirty word.. grimace) as it has a e-mail archive program that you can install which when the "lost" show up in the folder it means that the server is not sending for some reason. So has to be a TM issue,a server setting, your mail is going into a junk file and being filtered out, or you or your server have been blacklisted. I am at present waiting on my server to respond.. the mail path I they use is sub standard.. standard.. 'sendmail t' oh yeah.. I like the os cart best of all.. so.. don't fret ya all.. when email is fixed I be here.. Still frustrated in OS Cartland..

( I did keep a copy f the header for the email that did work) Hello sweet, I know this is a late reply and not sure if this will help you. I had the same situation as you - no emails received on my side when someone orders, registers, nor when they emailed me via 'contact us'. I used a member's contribution "SMTP Authentication V1.2" (http://www.oscommerce.com/community/contributions,901) and it has a readme.txt file which helps. I am supposed to be on a Linux server as well but our hosts told me to use SMTP (not sendmail) and I have set LF (not CRLF) .. and emails are now going out and being delivered. I have new problem tho .. so if/when you solve this, I would appreciate some help. Problem: using the contribution mentioned above, it says to set the field in Administration > Configuration > My Store > SMTP Authentication V1.2 ... to BLANK (null) otherwise the system will throw up a problem (error msg). This means I don't get any emails when someone orders (the customer does get the email tho). I don't know how to solve this .. but at least 1/2 the problem is solve .. ie emails are successfully going out and being delivered (except for the order notifications to me). Hope this is of some help. ♥ ∞ ♥ ∞ ♥ ∞ ♥ ∞ ♥ ∞ ♥ ∞ ♥ ∞ ♥ ∞ ♥ Helena Netwebbing - lots of free, simple tutorials • shCREDO - articles to all things health-ful • JEM Library- articles and info. on jewelry making • ClearlyChosen - Swarovski, Sterling silver & more (osCommerce e-commerce store)
