Cannot Get Packing Slip To Print Correctly

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I am selling fabric and my customers may order .25metre only if they wish. It works fine and allows this, but when i print the packing slip or invoice it only shows whole numbers, so if a customer wants

.25 metres of black and 1.5 metres of white, it shows

0 x black

1 x white.

The order value etc is correct, but it is impossible to know what they want!

I presume somewhere there is something to stop the packing slip and invoices printing integers for the quantity.

Please help.

By default the products_quantity field in the orders_products table is set to int(2) which prevents you from adding decimal values. Did you check that yet? If it's still the default format, you got to alter it to decimal and everything should work fine.

How do you manage your database? Anything like phpAdmin?

Hi, do all the adding of products through the control admin via os, i have no programming knowledge, so don't do anything complicated!

phpAdmin e.g. is a tool where you can look directly into your database tables. But if I got that right, you never used any kind of tool.

So the only way to fix this would be to write you a file with the according statements to alter the table. Do you have someone by the hand who can do that for you, someone with programming skills?

Hi,

I found how and where to change it, but it still doesn't seem to work.

I now get

0.00 x Flower Brocade, where before it said 0 x

but it should be 0.25

Hi, I don't have anyone to write code for me, i am new to this but a very fast learner! i just need pointing in the right direction. Obvioulsy os commerce is a fairly advanced site and not the ideal entry point for the beginner but i've done reasonably okay so far with using the contributions etc, it's just this has got me stumped as i just don't know what makes the packing slip/invoice display the way it does.

How do you manage your webspace? Is there something like cpanel? Where the mail adresses and stuff are entered? If we find a way to get direct access to your database, I'd be able to help you out.

Other than this, did you display the invoice of an existing oder? If so, the value has to be 0.00 cause it was stored as 0 to the database table. You might want to create a new one and look if it displays right then.
