But that said you should have it since it will increase your visitors confidence in shopping from your site, ie. more sales. You can get ssl certificates from several providers , just shop around, there is waste price differences out there. Jack_mcs Posted June 4, 2007 Share Posted June 4, 2007 The ssl certificate also protects your customers data, not just payment information. The ssl provided by paypal won't do that. You are likely to lose customers as a result. Usually the cost due to lost customers far outweigh the $20 to $30 you will save by not buying a certificate (or by not using your hosts free one if they offer it).
