Anyone An Expert On Paypal Ipn?

I'm trying to set up PayPal's Subscriptions Password Management, which requires turning on IPN.

 

In my PayPal profile, where I turn on PayPal IPN, I'm asked to enter a URL at which I will receive the payment notifications.

 

Does that mean I create a new page, like mysite.com/paypal_notifications.html?

 

Or am I supposed to use an existing page on my site?

 

In either case, does it matter where this page is located in my site directory? In other words, does it have to reside in the same directory as the content I'm trying to password protect?

It should be:

 

http://yourwebsite.com/catalog/checkout_success.php

 

Or

 

http://yourwebsite.com/checkout_success.php

 

Depending on how you have your site setup.
